This book is SPOT ON! As a professional driver and driving instructor for over 30 years, I can tell you that everything that Loren talks about in his book is exactly right and all the things that I teach my students. I highly recommend this book for anyone, but especially new and/or young drivers. In fact, after I read this book, I gave it to my 15 year old daughter (who is getting ready to drive), to read, as I couldn't have said it better myself! This book is an easy read, with short chapters to keep the reader's attention. Highly recommend!!
Waste of time. Loren doesn't know what he's talking about. I've seen him drive and saw him crash a minute later. What a putz.
This book offers a wealth of little-known driver safety tips. Although the author culled his skills on the race track, these life-saving techniques are equally applicable to the "everyday" driver. I especially appreciated the chapter on teaching a teen how to drive excellent advice. I shared this book with my father, (a real "car guy" who has been driving for over 40 years), and his reaction was the same as mine why haven't I read of these techniques before? This is a terrific little book, packed with solid information, an easy read, and a great gift for anyone who drives.
Nothing new in this book. Someone with even a little common sense should know everything in this. If you think you need this book then please, for the safety of the public...save your money for bus fare.
